Standard Poodles are medium to tall in stature and considered medium in size. Full-grown adults can range in weight from 45 lbs. to 90 lbs., males outweighing females by up to 40+ lbs. Although they are the second largest size of the Poodle breed, they are not as big as people imagine. They are smaller and weigh less than golden retrievers and germen shepherds. Standard poodles are slim, lean, and have a lanky physique like their cousins, the Greyhound.
